Oia
Oia, is one of the most sophisticated villages of Santorini with picturesque colourful houses and the beautiful views. The village was devastated in 1956 by a strong earthquake and it has managed to slowly recover in full. The best location to enjoy the spectacular views to the famous romantic sunset, is at the walls of the old Castle, the “Kastro” area. Ammoudi bay is a location in Oia worth visiting for the fresh fish tavernas and the scenery which is offered for rock jumping. Oia is also famous for the narrow streets which are filled with many gourmet restaurants, traditional tavernas, shops, art galleries and jewellery shops.
