Santorini island is part of the Cyclades complex on the south part of Aegean sea. Transportation is served with daily flights from Athens airport with Aegean Airlines and Olympic Airlines, as well as with speed boats and ferries from Piraeus port. Olympic Air and Aegean Airlines operate daily flights to Santorini from Eleftherios Venizelos, Athens International Airport. The flight is approximately 30 minutes long. There are also direct flights to/from Mykonos, Rhodes and Heraklion with Sky Express. JTR Airport can accommodate jetliners, thus enabling direct flights from many European countries.
CLIMATE
The climate in Santorini is deceptive. It is mildly hot during the day, cooler at night. The climate is usually mild and dry. The summer with bright and sunny weather lasts from April to October and is bright and sunny, but a fresh breeze is often blowing in the evenings and brings cooler temperatures. The weather is generally pleasant with very rare rain falling from April until October and average temperatures of 25-35°C (80-95°F).
